Why You Should Join?

IEEE-Eta Kappa Nu (HKN) is the nationally recognized Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering Honor Society. HKN is a unique organization dedicated to encouraging and recognizing excellence in the electrical and computer engineering fields.

The CSULB chapter, Epsilon Theta, was founded on Saturday, February 13, 1965. HKN consists of students, alumni, and other professionals who have demonstrated exceptional academic and professional accomplishments. Student members are selected on the basis of scholastic standing, character, and leadership. Through a variety of service programs and leadership training, student members develop lifelong skills that earmark them for prominent positions in industry and academia. Members are much better prepared for the post-college world and are especially valuable and attractive to employers. They are recognized as extremely capable, both technically and professionally. As a member of HKN, students are immediately welcomed into an organization of motivated and top-performing students who share the same passion for electrical and computer engineering. They are also privileged to many benefits and events put together by the Epsilon Theta Chapter.
